Often question is asked what are the different versions of IIS.

Windows 2000 server is IIS 5.0
Windows XP is IIS 5.1
Windows Server 2003 is IIS 6.0
Windows Server 2008 is IIS 7.0

Windows Vista Premium is IIS 7.0

IIS5 and WP 3.3.1 the login page stays when username password is correct

I experienced a problem with the Wordpress login page.
I have succesfully installed WP 3.3.1 on a WIN2000 / IIS5 machine. I can see the login page for the administrator. but, when I input the correct username and password, the page refreshes and the login form reappears again without any kind of messages of error. There is therefore no way of accessing the administration area.
Of course when I type in incorrect usernames or passwords, the error message is displayed.
